Garbage & Recycling Rates

Solid Waste Rate Changes

Starting Oct. 1, 2025, City of Fort Pierce residents and commercial businesses will see an adjustment in solid waste collection fees. Property taxes are not used to fund solid waste services and are reviewed annually.

Curbside Collection Rates $34 monthly includes:

  • Two garbage collections per week
  • One recycling collection per week
  • One yard waste collection per week (City-issued cart)
  • One bulky yard waste and one mixed bulk pickup weekly (items that are too large to fit into the city-issued cart).
    • Additional green garbage cart: $21.44 each
    • Multifamily Rate: $28 per unit minimum.
