City of Fort Pierce to Issue RFP for Sunrise Theatre Operations

FORT PIERCE, FL – The City of Fort Pierce will issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, to identify and establish a partnership with a qualified concessionaire to staff, operate, and program the historic Sunrise Theatre. Proposals will be accepted through the City’s RFP process until March 5, 2025.

This initiative reflects the City’s dedication to enhancing the operations and offerings of the Sunrise Theatre while ensuring its long-term financial sustainability. By exploring the option of contracting with an external management entity, the City seeks to bring in fresh ideas, innovative programming, and expanded resources that will elevate the theatre’s profile as a vibrant cultural hub.

The City envisions this collaboration introducing dynamic and diverse programming, improving the experience for patrons, and fostering stronger community engagement. The selected partner will align with the values and vision of the Sunrise Theatre, preserving its historical significance while advancing its role as a cornerstone of arts and culture in Fort Pierce.

The Sunrise Theatre holds an important place in Fort Pierce’s cultural and economic landscape, drawing residents and visitors alike with its diverse lineup of performances and events. Through this process, the City aims to ensure the theatre remains a vital contributor to the community’s vibrancy while securing its growth and sustainability for future generations.

During a solicitation or renegotiation of a contract/RFP, offerors/proposers and their representatives must only communicate with the designated procurement official or agent, as specified in the solicitation. Contact with City officers, employees, or officials is prohibited unless authorized by the procurement official or outlined in the solicitation. Violations of these provisions may result in disqualification, suspension, or debarment.
