The City of Fort Pierce Hosts 5th Annual City of Lights Decorating Contest
The City of Fort Pierce is once again excited to announce the 5th Annual City of Lights Decorating Contest, so dust off those Christmas lights, put your creative thinking caps on and help spread some holiday cheer!
The City of Lights Decorating Contest is designed to encourage the community to decorate and beautify their homes, and businesses during the holiday season. Anyone within city limits is eligible to participate and will be placed on the City of Lights self-guided tour map for everyone to explore and enjoy! The City's focus is to engage citizens to share in the holiday spirit - whether decorating themselves or driving around to see the lights, it will be fun for the whole family!
Registration:
Registration will be open from November 25 to December 18 online at https://bit.ly/2HwttS5
Simply fill out the application, choose one of the categories: single-family residence or business, and upload a photo of your decorated home or building at night. Each category
winner will receive $250 and a sign to display in their yard.
Voting:
Finalists will be selected by the City of Lights team then the community will choose the top 3 contestants in each category by voting online at https://www.facebook.com/ftpierce
between December 22 and December 31. Contestants are encouraged to keep their lights on between 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM during the voting process. The winners will be announced on Monday, January 4, 2021.
