The City of Fort Pierce would like to notify the community that, as part of the Indian River Drive Corridor Improvements Project, the Manatee Center Bridge will be closing soon. This closure will remain in place for several months as critical bridge work progresses.
To assist motorists:
- US-1 will serve as the detour route, with clear signage installed to guide drivers safely around the closure.
- Local access will remain open for those visiting nearby businesses, the Manatee Observation & Education Center, the museum, and Veterans Memorial Park via Indian River Drive. Please note that the bridge itself will not be passable during construction.
- Drivers should expect some delays in the area due to ongoing construction activity.
