As Fort Pierce continues to grow, the City is preparing to implement a Paid Parking Pilot Program later this year at Jaycee Park, S. Causeway Park, and Jetty Park. This initiative is designed to support the maintenance and improvement of our parks, beaches, and public spaces—ensuring they remain clean, safe, and accessible for both residents and visitors.
For years, Fort Pierce has been one of the few coastal cities in Florida without a paid parking system. However, as demand for high-quality public amenities increases and legislative changes restrict traditional funding sources, the City must explore sustainable revenue options.
The funds generated from this program will be reinvested into:
• Infrastructure improvements
• Enhanced beach maintenance
• Increased public safety
• Upkeep of recreational areas
This approach allows us to maintain and improve these vital spaces without increasing the tax burden on local residents. We understand that any change brings questions, and the City of Fort Pierce is committed to implementing this program with the community’s best interests in mind. Our goal is to preserve and enhance the public spaces that make Fort Pierce a great place to live, work, and visit. More details on rates, payment options, and program implementation will be available in the coming months at www.cityoffortpierce.com.
Thank you for your support in keeping Fort Pierce a welcoming and well-maintained community.
