The City of Fort Pierce announces a call for submissions for murals in the Peacock Arts District (PAD). The murals will be painted this summer as part of a broader creative placemaking initiative to create an attractive environment that develops interest for the district, promotes civic pride and increases pedestrian activity. The mural program will help activate the Peacock Arts District and transform spaces into unique and engaging works of art. The application deadline for mural entries is July 8, 2019.
The locations for phase one of the mural program were selected based on their proximity to one another in an effort to create the greatest impact possible.
