[ARCHIVED] City of Fort Pierce Invites Public to Participate in Comprehensive Plan Update

Comp Plan Workshops

The City of Fort Pierce, in partnership with the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council (TCRPC), is undertaking a state-mandated Evaluation and Appraisal Review (EAR) to update the City’s Comprehensive Plan.

Every seven years, the State of Florida requires local governments to review their comprehensive plans to determine whether amendments are necessary to reflect recent changes in state law, evolving community needs, or updated local priorities. This review process not only ensures compliance—it also presents a valuable opportunity to hear directly from the people who live, work, and invest in Fort Pierce.

We want your input! The City encourages residents and business owners to get involved in shaping the future of Fort Pierce. Your feedback will help guide updates to the Comprehensive Plan to ensure it continues to represent the community’s shared goals for smart growth, development, and preservation.

Join us at one of our upcoming community workshops to learn more about the Comprehensive Plan, share your ideas, and help with Fort Pierce’s vision for the next seven years:

Workshop Details:
Location: River Walk Center, 600 N. Indian River Drive Fort Pierce, FL 34950
Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Dates: August 6, 2025, and October 9, 2025

In addition to the workshops, community members are encouraged to take a brief survey to share their input online: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FPEAR

For more information about the Comprehensive Plan update, visit the City’s official website at  https://cityoffortpierce.com/1193/Comprehensive-Plan or contact the City of Fort Pierce Planning Department at 772-467-3737.
