Fort Pierce Police Department 100th Anniversary Celebrations and Events

Jay and the Americans come to Fort Pierce! With a staggering 18 charted hits and five Top 10 records, few bands ever reached the heights of Jay & the Americans. “This Magic Moment”, “Only in America”, “Cara Mia”, “Come a Little Bit Closer”, “Some Enchanted Evening”, “Let’s Lock the Door”, “Walkin’ in the Rain” and more are on tap for an evening filled with hits and stories only they can tell. The group features original members Sandy Deanne, Howie Kane and Marty Sanders joined by their powerhouse lead singer for the last 15 years, Jay Reincke – they are one of the few artists of the era that still boasts 3 original members. Joining them will be PBS-TV star, Chris Ruggiero. Chris has been touring the country breathing new life into classic rock and roll tunes, working with the same arranger who created all the hits for Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons and selling out shows from New York to Vegas. His most recent tour hit 37 cities but this will be his first time in Fort Pierce!

The IRSC planetarium projector is 30 years old in March 2023. See this modern marvel and learn how it works during this lecture by Planetarium Director Jon U. Bell. Planetarium shows are recommended for adults and children over the age of ten. The air temperature is maintained at 72 degrees. You may wish to bring a sweater or light jacket.

Heathcote's Tea In the Gardens

Tempt your taste buds and join us for a wonderful afternoon tea party. . Come be surrounded by vintage china, linens, sandwiches, scones, and sweets. Heathcote’s Tea in the Gardens is an annual event that has become a beloved event by many. This is a unique and fun filled afternoon in our wonderful Botanical Garden surrounded by the company of friends. There will be a live auction, a silent auction (filled with unique items), and a 50/50 raffle. Come dressed to impress and to be prepared to doll it up at our photo booth to create some wonderful memory photos for just the pure fun of it! All this while enjoying tea served on fine china under the canopy of trees in our botanical garden. Cucumber sandwiches, delicious scones are just a few of the treats you may nibble on while sipping your tea.
