Commercial Sign Grant Program
As part of the commitment to increase local business awareness, economic productivity, and the overall visual appeal of the FPRA, the FPRA is launching the Commercial Sign Program.
- The FPRA Commercial Sign Grant Program provides financial assistance through a reimbursable grant of up to $5,000 per property for existing businesses. This grant can be used towards the removal of old signage, the design, production, and installation of new signage; or substantial renovation of existing signage including the installation of modern sign lighting, in compliance with current City codes. Under this program, exterior free-standing signs and exterior walls signs that are permanent and fixed in structure are considered eligible sign types.
How to Apply
- The sign project must be completed within 90 days of application approval. Failure to do so will result in the denial of the reimbursement request.
The intent of FPRA Paint Program is to support the revitalization of the Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency (FPRA) district and assisting property owners to restore and improve the appearance of their commercial and residential properties.
How to Apply
- The paint project must be completed within 60 days of application approval. Failure to do so will result in the denial of the reimbursement request.
Commercial Facade Grant Program - Coming Soon!
The grant offers financial assistance in the form of a reimbursable grant, matching 50% up to $25,000. To be eligible the property must be located within the FPRA District and be commercially zoned.
The intent of the Commercial Façade Grant Program is to support the revitalization of the commercial corridors in the FPRA district by stimulating private investment in improvements that enhance the appearance of buildings and properties and eliminate blight and non-conforming design standards. This program is designed to encourage redevelopment of the FPRA by enhancing its visual aesthetics which will lead to increased property values, tenant occupancy, economic development, and job creation.
