Nicholas C. Mimms is the City Manager of the City of Fort Pierce. Mr. Mimms is the chief executive officer and administrative head of the municipal government and is responsible to the City Commission for the proper administration of all affairs of the City of Fort Pierce.
He was named City Manager in December 2015 after serving three (3) years as Deputy City Manager. Initially, Mr. Mimms joined the City of Fort Pierce as a Project Engineer in 1998 and has served in several capacities to include Stormwater Engineer, Deputy Director of Public Works, Director of Public Works, and Director of the Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency
Mr. Mimms earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Central Florida and has subsequently been designated as a licensed Professional Engineer by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, and a Credentialed Manager as determined by the International City/County Management Association. Mr. Mimms is a member of the Florida City and County Management Association, International City/County Management Association, National Forum of Black Public Administrators, American Public Works Association, and Solid Waste Authority of North America.
Mr. Mimms was born and raised in the beautiful City of Fort Pierce and is actively involved in the community.
Shyanne Harnage is the Economic Development Manager for the City of Fort Pierce. Shyanne is dedicated to facilitating community development through business retention, attraction and neighborhood revitalization. As a proud St. Lucie County native, her mission is to spark renewed interest in Fort Pierce and generate sustainable growth that will create opportunities for citizens today and for generations to come.
Shyanne holds a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University, a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree from Indian River State College and recently became a certified redevelopment professional through the Florida Redevelopment Association. In 2020, Shyanne was named as one of Stuart Magazine’s top 40 under 40 of the Treasure Coast.
Jennifer Robinson serves as the Executive Assistant to the City Manager. She provides principal administrative support to the City Manager. Ms. Robinson also functions as the liaison with the members of the City Commission and works closely with the Management Team.
